Pros

Good base pay, good benefits. Tuition reimbursement. Decent commission if you're a shark. Vehicle reimbursement if it fits company guidelines (ASK SPECIFICS about this if you think you want the job.) That's about it.

Cons

Micromanagement, period. Track phone calls, visits, what was discussed on a weekly basis (heavily). Then re-visit your activity (even if you perform excellent) on a quarterly review where you are questioned about every single thing you did during that period by several people, horrible experience. I saw an excellent sales guy get terminated because he was fed up with the "tribunal" as it is referred to, and said "I'm done being interrogated. Are we finished?" If you don't like the idea of a verbal beating in front of your peers 4 times a year, this isn't the job for you. Also, poor training, little work in the field with other reps before they set you loose. Uniform rental is a super competitive business, and Aramark doesn't have the resources Cintas does. And despite what they say, Aramark is NOT better than Cintas. Run! Even if you're on unemployment, stick it out--you don't want to sell for Aramark. Worst sales experience in 20 years of successful selling for other big companies. Both my direct supervisor and her supervisor lied to me about many things during the interview process. If you decide to work for this company, get every single thing in writing UP FRONT before you accept--don't take vague answers, or you'll end up regretting it months later.

Pros

Travel opportunities. Former corporate management was extremely supportive and good to work with. Free food. Free drama.

Cons

Work life balance. Don’t be a mother to young children if you want to work here. Verbal communication vs. what you get in an email will be contradictory….the gaslighting was unbelievable. Digital metric systems put in place by new corporate management has taken all the creativity and actual management out of the job. Will be mad at you if you don’t make the numbers they want to see, but will provide zero guidance on how best to do so. Hours were extremely long in order to complete all job responsibilities. New upper management is inflexible to specific account needs. Each account is different. HR does not help you - they protect the company. If you need to terminate an employee - they make it impossible.
