Pros

On-campus and convenient. We get a meal only if we work a minimum of 4 hours. Flexible schedule for students. Study break for one shift.

Cons

I have been here for a while and corporate keeps making things worse. Because of a few bad apples who take advantage of the system and leave, we are restricted to $10 a meal for a meal voucher - no Aramark place sells a filling meal for just $10. And you have to pay extra if it is over. A lot of the places have restricted hours - you can only get starbucks with a meal voucher if you go at a certain time. Corporate is also stingy about very small, irrelevant, and unimportant things. If you are a student, you can either be student worker or supervisor, but you can't move up beyond that. Raises are not as frequent as they should be. Current manager isn't bad but they aren't always good and are sometimes exploitative,

Pros

Travel opportunities. Former corporate management was extremely supportive and good to work with. Free food. Free drama.

Cons

Work life balance. Don’t be a mother to young children if you want to work here. Verbal communication vs. what you get in an email will be contradictory….the gaslighting was unbelievable. Digital metric systems put in place by new corporate management has taken all the creativity and actual management out of the job. Will be mad at you if you don’t make the numbers they want to see, but will provide zero guidance on how best to do so. Hours were extremely long in order to complete all job responsibilities. New upper management is inflexible to specific account needs. Each account is different. HR does not help you - they protect the company. If you need to terminate an employee - they make it impossible.
