Pros
Long term employment good relationship between Management and employees. Never had a confrontational relationship with management, All work concerns/safety concerns are always addressed. Open door policy ensures if there is an issue there is always a way to settle it without being threaten or feel you may have hurt your future. Because of constant $ investment the Hamilton plant with improvements and maintenance to equipment and as well with new or better grades of steel for the market ensures future sales.
Cons
Shifts are great but working nights is hard on health over the long term as sleeping habits change and it is difficult to get the rest needed between shifts. . Because it is a steel mill the air you breath will have particles although not toxic hard on longs.
