Cons

This company was extremely disappointing and ultimately one of the most toxic work environments ever encountered. While the organization presents itself as values-driven and people-focused, the reality was very different. Leadership lacked consistency, structure, and accountability. Expectations changed frequently, goals were often unrealistic, and instead of providing coaching or support, management relied heavily on micromanagement and criticism. The leadership talked horribly about their team behind closed doors and created an environment of dog eat dog. A high-stress environment where morale was consistently low, and turnover is extremely high. There was very little meaningful training or onboarding. Employees were expected to perform immediately without the tools, guidance, or leadership support needed to succeed. When results didn’t meet constantly shifting expectations, the response from leadership often felt more punitive than constructive. Often making up a reason to "terminate or coach out" instead of building a culture of coaching and stability. Most concerning was how workplace concerns were handled. Raising issues about the work environment led to what felt like bullying behavior and ultimately retaliation rather than a genuine attempt to address the problems. Over time, it became clear that the culture allowed toxic and unprofessional behavior to continue without accountability. Many talented employees eventually leave because the instability, micromanagement, and leadership behavior make it very difficult to build a sustainable career there. However the company gains the value of that employees efforts Anyone considering working here should take the time to carefully read the reviews and evaluate whether this environment aligns with their expectations for professionalism, leadership, and respect in the workplace.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. While we do not comment on individual employment situations, we recognize that some feedback may reflect experiences from a different point in time and may not represent the organization as it exists today. In some cases, we see recurring themes that appear to reflect outdated perspectives rather than the current environment that we have worked intentionally to build. We are committed to building a culture grounded in accountability, respect, and strong relationships. That commitment is reflected in our current leadership team, which includes strong female representation, as well as in the standards we hold for professionalism and performance across the organization. While we recognize that not every experience will be the same, the broad characterization outlined here does not reflect the environment we work intentionally to create or the experience of the broader team. That said, we are always willing to evaluate how we communicate, support, and develop our employees. We continue to invest in leadership development, onboarding, and clear expectations so individuals are set up for success and treated with consistency and respect. We remain focused on building a stable, professional environment where people can grow and succeed long term. We wish you the best moving forward.

Pros

Can't think of a single one.

Cons

In my experience, this is a deeply unhealthy and unprofessional work environment driven by the owner’s behavior. Although the company presents itself as faith-based, leadership conduct consistently contradicted those values. At company events, excessive drinking was common, and interactions with female staff often crossed professional boundaries. Female employees received personal messages that were later followed by apologies, creating discomfort and an inappropriate power dynamic. Expectations were frequently unrealistic, and when goals weren’t met, employees were berated or yelled at rather than coached. Micromanagement was constant, morale was extremely low, and turnover was high. There was also a clear pattern of unequal treatment. Male employees received visibility and recognition, while high-performing women were routinely overlooked. Multiple female employees expressed discomfort with how they were treated, contributing to what felt like a hostile and sexist culture. I would strongly encourage anyone considering employment here to carefully evaluate whether this environment aligns with their standards for professionalism and respect.

We are sorry to hear that your experience during your time at Archon did not meet expectations. Feedback about workplace culture is something we take seriously, and we recognize that experiences can vary and may reflect a different period in a company’s growth. That said, the allegations described in this review do not reflect the environment we work hard to maintain. We are committed to a professional, respectful workplace, and behavior inconsistent with that standard would be addressed immediately. We also want to note that the role referenced in this review was only recently filled after remaining open for a couple of years, which suggests the experience described may reflect a much earlier period in the company’s history. Our leadership team today is predominantly female, and recognition within the company is based on performance and results. In fact, our most recent company contest winner was one of our female producers, reflecting the strong representation and success of women across our team. Like many organizations, Archon has continued to grow and evolve over the years, and we remain focused on maintaining a culture built on accountability, professionalism, and respect for every member of our team. — Ann Lowry Vice President of Operations
