Pros

When there are jobs to fill, it can be fun. And the BDM’s in Tulsa (most of them) are a pleasure to work for.

Cons

This company is an example of throwing something against the wall to see if it sticks; absolutely no consistency when it comes to company policy or culture. It’s a culture that breeds toxicity and mistrust. Archon wants to be this large, renowned company in multiple cities, but it’s abundantly clear their market is incredibly limited (especially due to a poor company reputation). Personally, I’ve had three or four managers in a year….either because they were fired or the owner want to change for change sake. I don’t hate the owner, but I think his focus is often misguided, and he often results to extreme micromanagement. Because of this behavior, there are certain employees who’ve resulted to toxic, abusive, and unprofessional behavior that ultimately isn’t met with any real accountability.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for recognizing the strong relationships within our Tulsa team. We are fortunate to have a group of people who work hard and support each other. As Archon has grown, there have certainly been periods where we were refining processes, leadership structure, and direction. That growth has not always been perfect, and feedback like this is helpful as we continue improving. Over the past couple of years we have worked intentionally to stabilize leadership and create more consistency in how we operate. Our focus is on providing our team with clear expectations, accountability, and the support they need to succeed. Like most performance-driven organizations, Archon sets high standards while also giving our top performers the autonomy to do their best work. We appreciate the time you spent with Archon and wish you the best moving forward. — Ann Lowry Vice President of Operations

Not any at this time

Cons

This company was extremely disappointing and ultimately one of the most toxic work environments ever encountered. While the organization presents itself as values-driven and people-focused, the reality was very different. Leadership lacked consistency, structure, and accountability. Expectations changed frequently, goals were often unrealistic, and instead of providing coaching or support, management relied heavily on micromanagement and criticism. The leadership talked horribly about their team behind closed doors and created an environment of dog eat dog. A high-stress environment where morale was consistently low, and turnover is extremely high. There was very little meaningful training or onboarding. Employees were expected to perform immediately without the tools, guidance, or leadership support needed to succeed. When results didn’t meet constantly shifting expectations, the response from leadership often felt more punitive than constructive. Often making up a reason to "terminate or coach out" instead of building a culture of coaching and stability. Most concerning was how workplace concerns were handled. Raising issues about the work environment led to what felt like bullying behavior and ultimately retaliation rather than a genuine attempt to address the problems. Over time, it became clear that the culture allowed toxic and unprofessional behavior to continue without accountability. Many talented employees eventually leave because the instability, micromanagement, and leadership behavior make it very difficult to build a sustainable career there. However the company gains the value of that employees efforts Anyone considering working here should take the time to carefully read the reviews and evaluate whether this environment aligns with their expectations for professionalism, leadership, and respect in the workplace.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. While we do not comment on individual employment situations, we recognize that some feedback may reflect experiences from a different point in time and may not represent the organization as it exists today. In some cases, we see recurring themes that appear to reflect outdated perspectives rather than the current environment that we have worked intentionally to build. We are committed to building a culture grounded in accountability, respect, and strong relationships. That commitment is reflected in our current leadership team, which includes strong female representation, as well as in the standards we hold for professionalism and performance across the organization. While we recognize that not every experience will be the same, the broad characterization outlined here does not reflect the environment we work intentionally to create or the experience of the broader team. That said, we are always willing to evaluate how we communicate, support, and develop our employees. We continue to invest in leadership development, onboarding, and clear expectations so individuals are set up for success and treated with consistency and respect. We remain focused on building a stable, professional environment where people can grow and succeed long term. We wish you the best moving forward.
