Cons
The turnover in engineering is absurd. Compared to other companies in aerospace, the pay is extremely low, and bonuses/raises go to shareholders instead of employees, even after record breaking performance. There is no overtime pay/comp time for salaried employees, but overtime is expected/mandatory. The company also doesn't empower employees, and makes it nearly impossible to pursue higher education. People are NOT promoted based on merit, and most managers in place are laughably unqualified to be in the positions they're in. Instead of promoting someone with 15+ years of excellent performance, they'll promote someone with 1-3 years of questionable performance. There's a lot of nepotism and favoritism, leading to a toxic, inefficient work environment. Six sigma training is forced upon everyone but any attempt to actually improve processes is thwarted by management. There is an intense blame culture, where a subordinate is held responsible for a manager's mistake.
