Good team culture on the floor, not in the office. Most supervisors are experienced and supportive. Opportunities to learn welding, heavy fabrication, and quality control skills that transfer well.
Cons
Production pressure can get intense when big orders are due — occasional mandatory overtime with short notice. Career progression can feel a bit slow if you're not interested in moving into leadership or engineering roles. Some bureaucracy around certain processes that could be streamlined.
