Pros

The shift schedule offers 4- 10-hour day, Mon-Thur (or nights) or 3- 12-hours (weekends) This allows more full days off The day to day atmosphere is generally laid back and not to stressful, they would rather you take your time and do the job well instead of rushing things so there are less mistakes made. They emphasize quality over speed which I like. They don't lay off if you keep your end of the deal so it's fairly stable. Profit sharing in addition to 6% 401k match. A few other little nice things, annual company sponsored Cedar Point trip, they give you a boot voucher that you can use to get yourself a new pair of work boots each year, a box of apples and gift cards around Christmas... Overall Ariel seems to have a true desire to treat their employees well. I like the way they set up PTO (Paid Time Off) There are not separate sick, personal days, vacation... which gets complicated in my opinion, rather it's all one big PTO bank that you can use as you like and it all rolls over without expiring, and management almost always approves your time off since they generally keep the company well staffed so that is not a problem.

Cons

No choice or flexibility in benefits package, it's a one size fits all take it or leave it. The cost of health insurance has more than doubled in 4 years. Disconnect between HR and employees Rigid scheduling with no switching days
