Pros
Armanino offers a decent work/life balance. PTO balance is high and the firm promotes going on vacation and is willing to work scheduling around future vacation plans. Coworkers are a pleasure to work with.
Cons
Armanino’s salaries are not in line with industry average. Annual wage amounts were released, resulting in much dissatisfaction for employees. The general consensus is that current employees feel over worked and under paid. Moral is at an all time low. Audit seniors are making less than those of equivalent experience in prior years and have, arguably worked more hours. Compensation structure is not in-line with “company values”. Partners are preaching a “growth-mindset” in which seniors are supposed to nurture new staff and help them grow with the firm. However, the bonuses are awarded for those that issue financial statements within 30 days. In many cases, it is a frantic rush to get your job out (especially as a senior) as you have to juggle the staff, the manager, and the client. In sum, it is much easier to slack on teaching staff and do all of the work yourself thus conflicting with a “growth-mindset”. If salaries were higher and there was less of a focus on bonuses, Audit Seniors would have more time to focus on “growing” staff.
