Arrive Logistics - Fake It Till You Make It (if you're a manager, that is) - Weekend Account Coordinator Arrive Logistics Employee Review

Pros

I consistently went above and beyond, and the only leadership that gave a flip was my weekday customer teams, account executive, and my team lead - the free professional development through linkedin learning and working with the aforementioned people was the only good part of my time here. Insurance benefits suck (stop giving your employees deductibles of $3000, wow), and they made over 6 months of my life very stressful by processing my claims incorrectly over and over again despite my calls to coordinate the correct information. You get a Calm app membership for free and some ClassPass credits (yawn, totally not worth it), but the free LinkedIn Learning access was nice. That's it.

Cons

I spent a year and two months at Arrive and was laid off with a batch of other folks; metrics and high performance are not what is valued here, considering I excelled on a daily basis, as documented by team lead. They want "yes-men" that don't have their own thoughts, management wants you to suck up, and heaven forbid you should reach out to People Ops/HR with an ethical concern (they will have many meetings with you and act like they're working with you, only to bring the manager in that is causing issues into the meeting to ambush you). Weekend management is very shady and is getting by doing less by passing down managerial duties to the lowest tier of their team. Communication is extremely poor and inconsistent (you will likely not be informed of organizational changes in a timely manner, and you can never tell if they will communicate via Slack, email, or the newsletter). Many times when being delegated tasks, my manager had no idea what she was doing or how to explain it. In team meetings you will certainly hear management and executive management talk about themselves and their successes endlessly, but nobody's looking to improve the awful way that carrier reps treat the weekend team, or to increase accountability with managers. Arrive Logistics will always take the easy way out, and that includes booting you as an employee to save money and hiring managers that talk the talk, but don't walk even a bit of their talk. No job security. I continually submitted my name for consideration for work-sponsored certifications, such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. I was never taken seriously for two reasons: I am a remote worker and considered to be less important than the in-office teams (an irrefutable fact shared with me by People Ops), and I was a part of the weekend team, which was always shunted to the side and treated as less-than by the majority of the company. Run. Run far away unless you just need to soak up the pay and benefits for a bit. That's the only thing this company is good for until their values are aligned with their actions.

Arrive Logistics Response

Thank you for taking the time to write your detailed review. We have different benefits and insurance options with different deductibles for employees to choose from and feel our benefits are competitive. We take ethical concerns seriously and conduct immediate, thorough investigations when these kinds of concerns are brought to our attention. Since I started as CPO in October of 2022, I have made it a goal to improve our top-down communication across the company, and we have made significant strides this past year. While we are an in-office company, we do have remote workers and value them as much as any employee. I am sorry that you were not happy with your time at Arrive or the benefits we provide. Thank you, Jonathan Schoonmaker, Chief People Officer
