Snacks, good start to the role with support. Resources to help you keep track of training. Lots of opportunities to find things to do. Team oriented thinking. You also get to easily network with other campuses across the country.
Cons
Intense micromanaging, constant pressure to be involved in events, fast-paced = no time to train or be trained. This company is looking for perfection and is not quick to hire staff to support new campuses because goals are being met at the expense of small teams. Small mistakes (being short 3 books for over 120 students) basically go on your record and effect your promotion, so everything must be done to the expectations of campus directors. High perfectability within upper management of certain directors. Unfortunately also a gossip culture in all Bay Area campuses since they work so closely together. Directors with little to no management experience do effective your role as Administrative Coordinator and ultimately your promotion. Directors And regional directors will not be quick to promote as they say "administrative coordinators must earn the promotion" meaning they will throw everything at you, facilities, training, hiring new DR nt desk staff, buying everything for the campus (and I mean everything, down to the pens) vendor meetings, insurance details, ordering all math/ LA textbooks, organizing and putting on events etc etc all in a very fast-paced environment. The customers are also highly entitled, rude and do not care about how busy you or the campus is, they want your attention now. Textbook policies are horrendous and confusing due to the company realizing they lost money on allowing returns. Smart company/ people that know how to find creative flaws in other's work. Campuses also heavily bribe front desk staff because they do a heavy load of the work and they know that, so they make a point to shower them with gifts and compliments but then turnaround and talk about the front desk staff in negative detail. Also very stressful timelines as it's normal to have several events and projects happening in a given week with no room to breathe without being watched. (I've been told I was being heavily watched and observed when things were stressful, how is that fair) Very numbers oriented company that pumps curriculum that's cleverly marketed towards a specific demographic. Campus enrollment numbers are the goal, not community nor inclusion.
