Pros

Unique culture, built great personal relationship and consider many people friends. Nice office location with lots of amenities, the office location seemed to be a status symbol for the CEO. Compensation plan seemed to be very competitive and a six figure income is achievable when supported with opportunity. Easy access to leadership and managers and nice to get out of the office to do a little travel as well.

Cons

Stood by and watched this company decline, when I began their was close to 20-25 production employees. They day I left their was 14 and new business development was poor. Halfway through my tenure the marketing team was decimated, as it should have been, it was rife with complacent employees. Leadership asked everyone to be "patient and loyal" as they rebuilt. As of this very moment they have yet to rebuild a producing marketing team that can support a solid recruiting team. The lack a searches makes it difficult to produce at the desired level which often lands you in hot water. Further more, when hired the CEO was clear that his goal was to double in size, instead the company is half the size and even moved into a smaller office to cut cost. This cost savings was going to free up capital to reinvest into the company, five months later....no change. I felt that their was a lack of integrity among certain individuals as on several occasions clients and fellow employees were taken advantage of in addition to denial of promotions that were earn and deserved. When leadership hounded worker bees to close a deal their was high fives but when said deal fell apart the blame rolled down hill. The business development team was sitting back on their own accomplishments and living on repeat business, top marketer was praised for having 86% repeat and referral business. Resources are limited to certain individuals making it difficult to identify candidates other than calling though an exhausted database.

Pros

Great company to work for. The company provides a great training program for new hires. AMI has a very competitive benefit package and pays very well. The company pays a base salary and commission. The culture is very unique and very fun to be apart of. Sales can be very stressful so it is nice working with friendly employees to keep the stress levels low. The company takes a lot of pride in their employees. AMI is constantly thinking of ways to improve their employees personal and professional lives. The company promotes based on production not who you know in the company. If you are looking for a place where you can make a lot of money this is the place. The company celebrates wins by taking trip to places like Aruba and Mexico. They also take team building trip. If you meet production budget they also give their employees flex Fridays. If you are looking for a great place to work this is the place. The company is growing and it is a perfect time to join.

Cons

If you do not want to work hard this is not the company for you. If you do not want to pursue your dreams this is not the company for you. If you look for excuses AMI is not for you. The company looks for hard people who have a common goal.
