Regarding why we don’t have a bonus, this was very intentional, as our founders strongly believe bonuses are not aligned to our guiding principles of "Win Together" and "Ownership Mindset". However, to ensure we pay fairly, when we do our annual compensation market studies, we benchmark against total annual cash compensation, where we include not only the base salary data but also bonus data.
Regarding our lack of a bonus program, this was intentional, as our founders believe that rewarding based on merit through annual performance-based salary increases is more aligned with our “Win Together” guiding principle. However, we are committed to offering competitive pay. Our salary benchmarking methodology takes into account the total cash compensation (base salary, potential bonuses and other short-term cash incentives). In addition, we offer at least 3 weeks paid vacation, paid sick time, and stock options to our North American employees.
