      Pros

      - Iconic projects - Profit share scheme - Arup University - Encourages to apply for Chartership status - Short/Long-term secondments - Good opportunities BUT you have to be at the right place, the right time, working with the right people

      Cons

      - Low salaries - Poor supervision - Managers are generally Senior/Associate Engineers with many years of experience - working many years does not make you a good MANAGER necessarily! Thus management was often really bad.. - Long hours - Culture of unpaid overtime - Poor support to graduates/apprentices in small offices - Many hours wasted on travelling - Innovation in design not always welcome - older staff prefer standard solutions to save time/be on the safe side

      great supervisor, lots of professional development opportunities

      Cons

      insane workload and expect you to be available for work 24/7. some teams are drowning and others have no resourcing. layoffs happen completely randomly and they lay off people who are 100 percent billable. profit share is bs and you get nothing as a junior member
