Pros

Great place to learn, awesome projects. Benefits are good, meaning insurance and others. Cool offices. Some really nice people.

Cons

Work life balance is a joke, but much worse in the UK where they expect overtime (16 hour days sometimes) with no compensation. Some true savants good at their job but should never be in management. Echoing what others say, you have to be British or in the A club to get promoted, and it's nasty what some folks do, which is obvious to most, and still get promoted. There is a reason all the real talent leaves after 3-5 years.

Pros

Working at Arup was a great experience, surrounded by smart, motivated, and mission-driven peers.

Cons

This may have since improved, but at least previously, the America's region felt rather second-class compared to UK. Most/all senior leadership, even in the US, was British.

Pros

Great company with lots of good benefits, interesting large scale projects, and a fantastic team of people to work with.

Cons

Be prepared to work long hours, overnights and weekends at times. At the end of the day, it is a consulting firm so the clients needs will always come first over employee health and wellbeing.
