Pros

They hook you with a competitive salary at first.

Cons

If you're considering working at or partnering with Ascend Analytics, be prepared for a company that excels at making big promises and failing to deliver. Leadership (especially the CEO) talks a lot about innovation, culture, and growth, but the day-to-day experience tells a very different story. Support, resources, and career growth are frequently promised and rarely provided. When things go wrong, you're not met with honest discussions but instead with blame and shifting expectations. The environment can feel tense and uncertain, and raising concerns often leads to being dismissed or manipulated under the guise of "feedback." The company has potential on paper, but in practice, it prioritizes appearances over substance. If you are looking for a workplace built on honesty, accountability, and genuine collaboration, this is not it.

Pros

Working for a company that is the leader in its space exposes all employees to cutting edge technologies, know how and customer base. Lots of highly talented people to learn from and collaborate with. Little/no office politics. Feel like everyone wants the company to be successful. Lots of growth opportunities. Good work-life balance. The company supports remote and hybrid work. Arranges multiple activities to support team building and fun office atmosphere.

Cons

High workload at times. High churn at some admin positions

Pros

The PE firm made the wise decision to replace the former CEO. The new CEO is a significant improvement and has already brought about meaningful changes in the organization, even after just four months. He is the right person for the job, and we are on the right track.

Cons

Lack of employee acknowledgment in the form of compensation due to PE firms expectations which has greatly increased the attrition of really good talent as of recently.
