Pros
•Flexible PTO •Telecommuting options for some positions •Several options for medical / dental / vision coverage •Opportunity for quick growth due to high turnover •Onsite cafeteria •Has the potential to be an innovative company if they can find the right leadership •Has the potential to develop great products, if employees can learn to take small risks and get over their fear of failure •This would be a good place to work while finishing a degree due to flexible PTO
Cons
•Extremely high turnover. Talented staff are quick to leave and there's no effort to retain them. Leaders appear to be afraid to take the risks necessary to grow the company. •Salaries are below industry standards, raises are rarely given, and promised bonuses aren't always delivered. •There is a serious lack of technical literacy company-wide, which is ironic since Ascend positions itself as a technology company •Communications company-wide is very fractured, resulting in low productivity and low morale •Many employees seem driven by a fear of losing their jobs (due to the high turnover around them) rather than driven by a desire to produce innovative products
