Pros

Had heard and noticed couple of negative opinions about our firm on the site, which seems to be a one-side bloated story by few frustrated personnel. Its personnel like me and my peers to be blamed for partially. We who are the majority, but due to work schedules and other reasons, tend to take quiet seat and just turn a deaf ear to these.. Today got some free time, so thought of sharing my 2 cents. Over the past 6 years, I have gained very good work culture as well as 360 degree skills experience. Joined as a trainee associate then, and am currently leading a team as a Sr. Project Lead on two projects. The colleagues, leads are very co-operative and supportive. Usually in IT industry, after 2-3 years, we move on to next company, but still surprised to see there are more than 15-20 personnel who are working with the firm for 10+ years and another 30-35 personnel with 5+ years here which gives great working comfort down the line. This itself is a good testimony how good the firm is. Sr. executives including CEO being extremely hands-on, gives lot of motivation support and guidance, and pushes us to remain in touch with rapidly changing technology rather than just being mere program managers / coordinators. We get to work on new architectures, bleeding edge technologies, earlier than most of other companies which adds immense value to my career and to our clients. Above all, like last year, this time too KRA was great, got the best hike both amount and percentage wise in my career so far. Motivates and helps us to improvise and bring out the best in us. Good career and growth options, got 2 good promotions in 2 years and lot more exposure / responsibility. Extreme drive by Sr. management to reduce rework by embracing automation and process oriented development where all possible. Unlike as mentioned in few posts, infrastructure and machines are pretty good and fast. In a phase wise logical approach I guess, most of the peers including juniors too have good system and monitors. HR & Operation teams are approachable, friendly, and have taken initiatives to motivate personnel and improving work quality standards. Though being a lady, I never felt any difference @ job / rewards. Immense friendly environment and mutual respect among peers and all employee across departments. Flexible shifts, work from home options, night drop offs, on time appraisals, and salary payments are really good, and give us the work comfort zone.

Cons

I guess one major improvement area is, to avoid trainee mentoring. There were too many trainee inducted some of them not having the required passion and interest, on whom we spent majority of our time to mentor and eventually they moved to other companies just for few thousand bucks. It needs more than our development skills and is an exhaustive effort, which should be avoided so that we can use it for other productive use. I hope management screens entry process to improve qualified and interested candidates.
