You're treated like a cog in a machine, they place absolutely no value on your opinion and ideas, they clearly favor their Japanese employees and give them significantly better compensation, management seems to fumble around even as they treat you as the naive one. If they decide to layoff an entire research site they will give you literally no notice (call you all into a room and tell you to grab your belongings because you've all just lost your job).
