Pros

Large client list built up over years. Large CRM with lots of information

Cons

- Have lost the culture, no more cross brand events really and lunches and promotion celebrations severely reduced - Have pushed a one size fits all services model out to staffing which hasn't worked. Haven't really considered that recruitment across markets and services has key differences. - Rewarding permanent recruitment with a contract commission model which doesn't work and is incredibly hard to know what you're getting paid. - Have lost so many good people that wouldn't have otherwise left. - Have lost relationships with key clients due to said people leaving. - Severe cost cutting. Narrative spun that it was in everyone's interest which was a complete lie. In a cost of living crisis and admittedly a slow market, they literally took thousands of pounds each from their staff. - Cost cutting also impacted the budget spend on expenses, team events etc.

Pros

Aston Carter provided excellent opportunities for professional growth, career progression, and leadership development. I had the opportunity to work with some of the largest healthcare and insurance clients in the country, build strong client relationships, and lead high-performing teams. The company offers strong training, a collaborative culture, and a performance-driven environment where hard work is recognized and rewarded. I was fortunate to work alongside talented colleagues and supportive leaders who helped me grow both personally and professionally.

Cons

Like many staffing and recruiting organizations, the environment can be fast-paced and demanding, with a strong focus on metrics and performance goals. Work-life balance can be challenging during peak periods, and processes can sometimes vary between offices or leadership teams. However, these challenges also create opportunities for growth and development.
