      Good opportunities when not working with California site. Headquarters site friendly and tolerate. At the California site you can a few really good technical and personable people to associate with.

      Cons

      Working in California site is difficult due to ex aviron employees still at medimmune. These aviron folks ruin the culture and work ethic at this site. New good people usually stay a few years to try and change culture, but have continued to fail and then move on to better things.

      As an experienced healthcare analytics and commercial leader, I applied to 104 U.S.-based positions at AstraZeneca between 2025 and 2026 that closely matched my background. Despite receiving interviews from peer organizations, I did not receive a single recruiter interaction. I fully understand the competitiveness of hiring, but such a complete lack of engagement raises questions about potential overreliance on AI screening or unintended bias.
