Pros

I worked at 2 different At Home locations during my 13 month employment with the company. My first store was like my dream job. Everyone was nice including management. I didn't dread going to work and loved what I did. I worked at that location for 8 months before transferring to a different location because I had moved. This location was a disaster. The management (specifically the store director) was a nightmare. This director was not only in charge of that store, but also overlooked 3-4 other stores in the state. I saw her probably 5 times during my 5 months there, but yet she still bossed everyone around. Coming from me, who had worked at another store, knew she wasn't doing things the ethical way. I suddenly hated my job and started to dislike the store and company. That's when I decided it was time for me to make a change.

Cons

The most obvious con is that I saw and experienced 2 completely different stores, but still the same company??

Pros

Great Customers and coworkers. The products we affordable and great quality and I loved doing the visual Merchandising changes for the wall decor and home organizations. We really had a great team we provided great customer service and the local real estate loved coming in for assistance

Cons

The miscommunication between the upper management and the store level management wavered. We went over 8 months without a Store Director. High labor demands and lack of support led to a high turnover rate and a toxic work environment. Pay isn't commensurate with responsibilities.
