Pros

The job itself is average--3 star rating. You're either at the cash registers, neatening the shelves (this takes a lot of time--customers are very messy), or working on deep cleaning & organizing projects. What makes the job good or or bad is definitely the supervisors. My supervisors are all really great, and the store director is fantastic--so I give the job 4 stars.

Cons

-Customers leave things on the floor, put stuff where it doesn't go, and make lots of messes -You are required to try and sell the At Home credit card to every customer. If you forget to ask a customer at the register, you get in trouble. (Luckily my supervisors are really fantastic at encouraging and helping us. With good supervisors, it isn't bad--with crappy supervisors, I imagine it would be different)

Pros

Great Customers and coworkers. The products we affordable and great quality and I loved doing the visual Merchandising changes for the wall decor and home organizations. We really had a great team we provided great customer service and the local real estate loved coming in for assistance

Cons

The miscommunication between the upper management and the store level management wavered. We went over 8 months without a Store Director. High labor demands and lack of support led to a high turnover rate and a toxic work environment. Pay isn't commensurate with responsibilities.
