Pros

$10 an hour starting out and a 56 hour work week. Over time- time & a half after 40 hours.

Cons

Long shifts. Rude customers. Violent customers. Inexperienced managers. Dangerous. No janitor or cleaning crew. Incompetent managers. Disorganized. Filthy. No customer service. Horrible employee value. Strict policies. Lack of communication between managers and employees. Managers rude to customers: Customers spread feces on bathroom walls and mirrors. Customers left dirty diapers in multiple departments. Customers would urinate on products and bathroom walls. Improper protection for when using dangerous cleaning solvents. Many safety violations. Fire-code violations. Couldn't have water or any drink at registers- Led to dehydration in many employees. Couldn't use restroom when needed- Caused a co-workers baby development and growth to slow as well as many bladder infections. Too much product coming in and not enough shelves to put it on. Unrealistic expectations. No health benefits. No 401k. Once you leave you can never be hired there again.

Pros

Fine enough coworkers to be around

Cons

Horrendous corporate staff. Overly aggressive marketing for customers that clearly don't seem to actually care to buy anything. 90 day no question return policy means customers buy things constantly and return them even faster. Terrible inbound freight allocation, dozens of the same item are sent on each and every truck that do not sell. Overpriced, ugly, and uncomfortable furniture that sits and fits for months on end. Corporate will tear you a new one for not getting enough customers to sign up for ad bloated emails and text marketing, while also pushing a credit card with terrible benefits from a scummy bank. Will be out of business before the end of the decade.
