Pros

I love working with such a great team of women. Learning about coworkers’ lives and what they’re passionate makes me feel closer to everyone and it truly feels like we’re a family, not just a job. Great PTO, healthcare, and 401K benefits. Our customer base is usually wonderful to work with and we form relationships that create longtime customers coming back again and again.

Cons

The push is getting greater and greater to open more and more credit cards. One of the main reasons I started with Athleta was that credit cards weren’t the main focus, the people were but the company is getting away from that unfortunately. They also brag about promoting from within when more often than not that isn’t the case. I’ve seen employees work so, so hard to get to the next level, apply, then not even given an interview because someone from an outside company has more “valid experience.” They don’t even take into account the strong relationships and trust built with the team.

Pros

Very black & white on policies. You always know what is right or wrong.Operationally strong company that allows movement between brands. Decent pay if you advocate for yourself as an external, but don’t expect much once you’re in.

Cons

Company has changed direction so much since COVID. Seems like there’s no clear idea on who we are anymore.Senior leadership feels like a revolving door that only succeeds in spinning tires with no traction. We love to initiate something only to either sunset it months later or leave it in limbo(WellPro). The amount of stress pushed on stores to meet credit goals is absurd to the point it inspires unethical behaviors in certain stores.
