Pros
-Great company discount -Co-workers are for the most part lovely -Decent benefits -Beautiful office, gym on the Athleta floor that employees can use (not that anyone has the time to use it though)
Cons
-Terrible misaligned leadership & toxic personalities at the c-suite level -C-suite leaders seem to have very short term tenures at Athleta (aren't properly vetted, end up being very toxic with many employees providing negative feedback on them) -Super toxic work environment -Zero clarity in terms of responsibilities and expectations for my role -No one on one face time with my manager -Texting culture: leadership is only reachable via text most of the time and refuses to use company tools (i.e. teams). Briefs, new asks and feedback are sent via text, and texts come at all times of the day and night and weekends -CEO fails to understand anything about the day-to-day and the process behind how things are made - won't take no for an answer -Constant re-orgs and quiet firings -Extremely meeting heavy (on zoom all day long, no time for lunch, calendars are insane) -Constantly on promo, changing direction and strategy of promos and regular marketing briefs as well causing mass chaos for teams working on the work -Creative and marketing teams are over-worked and completely burnt out -Constantly re-doing brief/strategy halfway through projects or changing direction and scrapping expensive assets and photography -No work/life balance (always on) -Pay for parking -HR team is useless in fixing problems -Company as a whole always stressed hybrid work environment and hiring talent remotely as needed, moving back to 5 days a week in office requirement
