Pros
Some patients were very sweet despite Athletico’s efforts to break their spirits by robbing them blindly. Immediate coworkers were also nice.
Cons
Where do I begin…I worked for this company for three years 2017-2020 and I suppose the best thing about it is the fact that once I finally left I finally learned how employees SHOULD be treated. Athletico is all about the money and makes it so difficult for any employee to actually help a patient. The office coordinators are made to take on the role of the billing and collections department even though it isn’t in the job description and we never got proper training. No room to move up in this position and raises are rarely given. Higher ups treated the employees horrible too during COVID. (No PPE provided to begin with but office coordinators made to work onsite) we requested plexiglass at our clinic and were denied UNTIL I complained to corporate pretending to be a patient and threatened to take my business elsewhere….then the plexiglass magically appeared. Icing on the cake was that about a month before I left, the company rolled out an arbitration agreement for ALL employees to sign or else we could be terminated. Once I left I found out that there was a class action in motion for the office coordinator position for not compensating overtime. Nothing about this company is to benefit the patient and it’s sad. There are plenty of good employers out there in the medical field, but Athletico isn’t one of them.
