Pros

Yesenia Galvin was the only reason I stayed as long as I did even though she was not my supervisor. She’s a great example of what leadership should be like at Athletico.

Cons

Racism, unhealthy work environments, the training process needs to be restructured, lack of support from your direct supervisors, the clinical managers do not respect office coordinators and most rehab aides, unethical power dynamics in the office, underpaid for the amount of responsibility and work you are given.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We take all feedback very seriously and have taken steps to look into and address these issues. Athletico does not tolerate racism or discrimination of any kind. As a people-focused organization, we are deeply committed to creating an environment that is equitable, inclusive and ensures the fair treatment of all employees and patients. We also understand the challenges of the Patient Experience Coordinator (PEC) role and have refocused PEC responsibilities to be on patient interactions. We have made significant investments in resources and training, and we’ve enhanced PEC mentoring tools for both Clinic Managers and the Patient Experience support team to ensure this role is set up for success. We welcome any further discussion at your convenience. Please contact Jen Sommesi (Jen.Sommesi@athletico.com | 630-575-6200) if you’d like to do so.

Pros

Great hands on experience compared to other clinics. Heard that at other clinics, aides just clean and 'make the clinician's life easier' but at this location if youre willing to learn and take initiative, you can assist patients through their exercises under supervision of the licensed therapist

Cons

The only thing is the pay, but it's an entry level job so makes sense why.
