Pros
- The amount of experience you get with a diverse range of orthopedic conditions - Bonus pay for seeing 11+ patients a day (but the energy you have to put in in order to bonus sucks) - Some people at certain locations are awesome. It's either really cocky people that work here because they thrive off competitiveness , or they're super cool because they know these work conditions suck and being goofy is the only way to make it better.
Cons
- EXTREMELY exhausting. Averaging 12-17 patients in an 8 hour days sucks. My body hurts, i'm physically and mentally drained. - As a PTA I run patients through a few exercises and perform 15 minutes of manual therapy and leave techs to do the rest because it's all I can do in the time I have. I have 2 other patients waiting to be worked on. - They get techs to do everything and they underpay them. So tech turnover is extremely high. - Did I mention you are sooo overworked? I am not even a year into this profession and I'm getting burnout working here. Don't do it.
