Pros
In the right team, it can be an awesome place to work. Fast pace, challenging work, teammates are generally smart and good human beings. I'm not likely to find my type of work locally for anywhere near the same pay so very much appreciate that they’ve stuck with team anywhere.
Cons
Even if you join under a great manager, know that teams get reorganized nonstop and turnover is high so as soon as you land under a bad manager you’re screwed. 10% low ratings each performance cycle is viewed as a minimum in many orgs and if you're ever given performance feedback, know that the goal is to exit you as quickly as possible, not improve your performance. There's little room to be human and have a period where you're off your game (typically for valid life reasons) - you need to be doing the “best work of your life” at all times so good luck if you're a caregiver. Granted - this is the same across most of tech so it kind of is what it is - just flagging if you're reading another review more than 2 years old, it's a very different place now (as the rating drop reflects).
