Pros
Remote work Coworkers are great
Cons
Employees are “transitioned” into new roles only to have those roles pulled so management can fire them. In a small company, where everyone knows everyone, this kind of manipulation is both unethical and deeply damaging to trust. Feedback is treated as a checkbox exercise. Surveys are pushed heavily, but when employees provide honest input, management either argues with them or dismisses it. Even worse, surveys are not truly anonymous—employees have been questioned directly about team-based results. Time off is mishandled, often leading to conflicts that management then blames on employees. Staff are put in positions where they must choose between family and the company, even though the situation was created by management. In one case, an employee was fired for choosing family.
