Pros

Work from home. Intelligent colleagues who CARE about the customer. Portfolio of solutions and services are impressive-as is the marketing “hype”. That is all.

Cons

With 3 different North American CEOs in the last 18 months, a clear vision/strategy is lacking for how the largest Atos business unit globally, can meet the growth targets set. There’s a number$$ - and a corresponding set of hypothetical assumptions for how to get to it. Leadership has too many layers of executive management that appear to be more focused on maintaining their “post” positions rather than doing their jobs. The term “dead wood” applies with a majority of their time spent managing spreadsheets vs. focusing on direct reports, customer delivery commitments and helping to close new business. Some managers have no career experience doing the work of their direct reports causing a gross disconnect. Then there’s the bureaucracy combined with a process laden culture that delays action and the ability to turn anything around to the customer within a reasonable length of time. The company is run more like a financial institution vs. an Innovative Global Technology company. The knee-jerk response to not meeting financial goals has historically been layoffs. Then there’s a shock wave after when it’s realized a subset of those laid off had intel/skills/expertise many customers benefit from as part of a contracted service/solution. SURPRISE! The services we deliver require high levels of expertise in a variety of technology arenas. Having 1-2 experts to support a global organization isn’t adequate. So much more....
