Pros
If you're an untalented engineer, you can thrive here. If you're just starting out, you can use this company as a stepping stone, and as an example of what a toxic company culture is.
Cons
I offered a clean & professional separation, offered to train a new-hire, provide two-week's when ready, and that I would maintain my quality of work I'm known for for the past 7 1/2 years. Atos decided they wanted to help me, and by helping me, they meant immediately terminating me during the pandemic, instead of the clean & professional transition I offered, or two week's professional notice from them which I also requested. This company is heartless: Loyalty means nothing, after 7.5 years: Atos in general pays far less than market rates, No lateral growth, No upward growth, Incompetent management, More management than engineers on most projects, Pure politics, taking advantage of their customers, lying about Atos' products-> lying to the customer's face, lying to Engineers' faces, Management is not trustworthy, Management does not have your best interest in mind, Atos-proper workweeks are normalized at 50hrs/wk, If your company has been acquired by Atos, and you are not immediately promoted, your ship is likely sinking, Being unexpectedly terminated just-cause or not, e.g. in a right-to-work state, makes me an employee in bad standing, which means: 21+/all days of vacation are forfeit - not paid out, My current quarter's bonus is forfeit - not paid out, You're technically ineligible for any severance whatsoever - again no payout, because you are an employee in bad standing.
