Pros

The team on contract supported each other and were very good at using peoples different skillsets. The team bonded very well and enjoyed getting together occasionally outside of work to unwind. If we only had to deal with the on-site/on-contract bosses, life would have been much easier.

Cons

*The Corporate side of the house was impossible to work with. -They would try to impose new work requirement be faster and more efficient. However, these methods frequently would contradict contracted requirements. So there was always pressure coming from outside the team from these Operations Leads to "stream-line" and "leverage" the technicians that had never even looked at the requirements of the persons doing the contract work. So the Corporate Operations Leads - wanted to make everything ideal - and in doing so, ignored the special requirements that different contracts had. * HR in general was crap. -The hiring process was not smooth. -Getting HR support was a run around nightmare. It took between 2-3 weeks to get a person to finally answer the phone and take responsibility to find the answers questions about maternity leave for one of my people. -We couldn't get new hires because of a "hiring freeze", however the CEO was baffled when asked why there was a hiring freeze and said that there shouldn't be a hiring freeze since we everyone was needing people so badly. And yet, there seemed to still be a HR enforced hiring freeze for about 3-4 more months after that. This was a 10-ish month hiring freeze that wasn't ever authorized. -When the group of us were all let go, payments didn't stop correctly - so then they sent out letters saying we owed them money because they didn't stop the weekly payments. -I never received the box to return my equipment, so I had to ship it out on my own money.

Pros

Ability to work remotely is the main perk.

Cons

Salary is low for the role, and the company has not been stable for the last few years. Seems like more emphasis is on the overseas workforce than the US. You never know when you are going to get laid off.
