Pros
- Meal tickets - Extensive medical coverage - Decent internal learning platform - Annual performance bonus (although a small one) - Salary adjusted annually based on inflation (although not to the true inflation index) - Global teams that work together
Cons
Most of my negative comments are related to the PM/PMO management: - They are unsupportive and do not shy away from using manipulation tactics, including gaslighting - They play favorites - The bi-annual performance targets are flawed, most of them don't even allow you to "exceed" the expectations; and worse of all, the targets are subjective to the manager's interpretation, meaning that in the annual review they will nitpick in such a way to limit your annual salary increase - Very unsupportive in your career progression - The weekly PMO team meetings are basically a monologue, since people gave up on asking for additional reasons why some directions are the way they are (since these questions were met with hostility or passive-aggressiveness and people asking these were then subsequently "charged" in the bi-annually performance review) All in all, very toxic management.
