Atria Senior Living

Engaged Employer

They will overwork you and underpay you. Little support from corporate, mainly just more demands. Extreme hours. - Anonymous employee Atria Senior Living Employee Review

Pros

Job duties are fun for someone who is creative and a people person, particularly for those who do not want to sit in an office all day.

Cons

Little to no support from corporate. Their idea of support and training is to put more demands, rather than offer realistic help. Low compensation and rediculously long hours. They value profit over quality of employees, as seen by their inability to hire and/or keep good people.

Pros

The only part of the job I actually miss are the residents and I met some nice co workers as well.

Cons

The turnover rate at this place was actually insane. In the year I worked there I saw many people come in and not even make it through training, which was understandable. Caregivers were not treated like humans, you'd constantly be overworked and micromanaged by other departments. You will get sick constantly because of the negligence of upper management failing to protect your health as a caregiver. Your health is worth more than the pay they offer which is probably less than McDonalds. There are more cons but I'll leave it at that.
