Pros

The residents, interacting with them. The longevity of deparment heads who trully care about the residents. The families of the residents.

Cons

The long hours, treating people like crap, verbally humiliating them on conference calls, lying, yelling, making people cry, people fear for their jobs, creating a hostile work environment, leading by fear and intimidation...this is what upper management does.

Pros

The only part of the job I actually miss are the residents and I met some nice co workers as well.

Cons

The turnover rate at this place was actually insane. In the year I worked there I saw many people come in and not even make it through training, which was understandable. Caregivers were not treated like humans, you'd constantly be overworked and micromanaged by other departments. You will get sick constantly because of the negligence of upper management failing to protect your health as a caregiver. Your health is worth more than the pay they offer which is probably less than McDonalds. There are more cons but I'll leave it at that.
