Pros
Attivio solves critical problems for big customers, particularly with its "digital unified workplace", risk, and customer support solutions. The company has an impressive list of F100 customers in banking, technology, manufacturing, as well as some government customers. Attivio has had a lot of success over the past 12 months with acquiring new customers. Attivio is skilled at beating competitors like IBM Watson, Sinequa, Coveo, Oracle, and others, particularly from a technology perspective. The company is well-managed, and the senior leadership team seems to genuinely care about employees, especially regarding their happiness and their career development. There are a number of examples of people making lateral moves to other teams in order to broaden their skill sets, as well as people being promoted into more responsible positions, particularly in sales and engineering.
Cons
Some of the customers are very demanding, and that can require long hours and commitment. Many people in the company - particularly in professional services - need to work evenings and occasionally weekends to meet deliverables. This could be helped by salespeople involving the delivery team earlier in the sales process, not just once the deal has been won. The company needs more at-bats. The marketing team has recently seen a positive change in leadership, so hopefully we'll see more opportunities in the pipeline.
