Pros

- Okayish Free Food, - Smart developers - Good benefits

Cons

-Lots of politics. - Negligible or negative career growth. People who have good political connections/can give an impression to senior executives really well that a lot of work is being done/ are there to please everyone, get promoted and are valued over those who are actually doing good things for the company. - Upper management seems to be living in its own blissful world which is far from reality. and seems like they have lost touch with what's actually happening in the company. Developers are unhappy and are leaving Audible in huge numbers and the senior management does not care at all.The company's sustenance depends solely on organic growth as there is no innovation in the product. - This company is NOT Amazon and DOES NOT follow Amazon principles. Rather people who stand strongly by Amazon Principles are criticized and end up in the bad books of their managers. People who raise real concerns are often termed as negative and are heavily criticized. - The hiring at Audible has gone rogue with HR being purely biased on hiring any candidates they can get irrespective of whether they are technically competent or not, just to meet their targets. The so called BAR RAISER program which distinguishes Amazon hiring from other companies is nothing but a joke at Audible.

Pros

Lots of great collaboration, get to work with a lot of smart people from different backgrounds and Audible/Amazon offers lots of trainings/workshops for new technology. There is always something you can learn!

Cons

Communication needs improvement, lack of career roadmap/leveling for contractors and several recent layoffs (these are specific to contractors)
