Pros

This review is for the research department. ARA really values their employees and routinely does things to make them feel appreciated. The work is really rewarding and the company really trusts the employees with new tasks, responsibilities, growth, and opportunity. Opportunity for learning is endless depending on your goals! Great team environment and everyone is treated as an equal. Work life balance is something that the company strives for and employees' time, values, personal goals are respected. Flexible. Very interesting work and you are helping people keep their eyesight!

Cons

If you are a person who must have structure and tons of guidance, it may not be the best fit. You will have to figure out a lot of stuff on your own which can be tiring but also rewarding. Frequent interruptions. Supervisors seem to have a ton on their plate. Extremely high volume clinic and patient volume. Also, pretty competitive which may or may not work for some personality types.

Many thanks for the review! We strive for work life balance and hope those busy days are offset with off time or slower days. Research has it's own culture for sure -- you guys are tremendous! And office space... we keep it lean in some quarters. Creating growth opportunities is something we strive for, also!

Pros

Amazing co-workers and physicians. Beautiful offices, PTO accrual is at a good rate. good growth and skills learned in all departments. Regional aspect makes it better for work-life balance. Remote positions available(after experience).

Cons

Extremely short staffed to where people are burnt out. Not much acknowledgement to burn out. Being told they are making changes to make it better for employees, but making it more difficult. Being told we are heard, which may be true, but are not understood. Plans to rely on AI for working models to cut cost. Increasing physician count and patient count while reducing staff or keeping it the same, spreading current staff thinner. due to burn out, many people are quitting. high turnover rate.
