Pros
Authorium is a Govtech startup that offers unique opportunities to work on meaningful projects to improve the operational efficiency of the public sector, which can be incredibly rewarding. Leadership acknowledges hard work and commitment, and for a smaller team, there is ample opportunity to learn and take on responsibilities that might not be available at a larger company. The people here are dedicated, and there's a lot of talent across departments who are passionate about the mission, as it has grown and changed quite a bit over the last 3 years. The product fills a much needed gap in the market and continuously adapting to what the market is demanding. Prior to my current role, as a Solution Engineer, who worked directly with our customers, I got to see first-hand the positive impacts our company was doing to transforming legacy procurement processes with our cloud-based solutions which streamlined the workloads of our under resourced clients. Additionally, while there are crunch periods that can be intense, the company does value work-life balance, even mandating employees take a minimum of 15 days off and offers a hybrid work model that balances remote work and in-office presence. Compensation is also fair / at market-rate.
Cons
As a fast-growing startup, Authorium sometimes faces the typical challenges of scaling up quickly. With a lean team, the workload can be demanding, which often means stepping into roles that go beyond your job description. While this fosters growth and adaptability, it can occasionally lead to stretched resources.
