Grew too fast for its own good. - Behavior Technician Autism Spectrum Therapies Employee Review

Pros

Flexibility. woman-led field. frequent pay raises. overtime opportunities.

Cons

Clinical director lives across the country so is not as easily accessible or truly aware of staff dynamics and issues. before AST was bought out by LEARN, they did 401K matching, that's no more. No more sick time off, it's all just lumped into your PTO. Issues with staff take too long to be resolved. Depending on the BCBA you get placed with, you'll either have lots of great support or none at all.

Pros

- You will meet amazing people and some of them may become your mentors - Room to grow - Very full filling job - Directors are easy to talk to and easy to reach - Families you work for are amazing - Chance to work in a variety of settings- home, clinic, and school,

Cons

- High turnover for BTs - Directors sending school cases that are not ready causing confusion and time wasted - Low pay compared to other companies - Doesnt take care of Bilingual BCBAs, instead you are thrown cases with families who speak Spanish and not being compensated for the time you take to translate documents to families to ensure they understand ABA - Constantly asking BCBA and mid level supervisors to bring food/buy food for monthly potlucks when the company makes alot of money having BCBAs bill but dont consider buying the team monthly lunches. - Low morale
