Pros

Nothing positive about this company. Treats employees like slaves.

Cons

Everything. If you work for AO, don't leave & then expect a second chance from them. I had to step away from my job with AO due to personal reasons, reasons which I couldn't control. I have applied to get back in with them, & they won't even consider me again. If I were in the boy's club, it wouldn't be a problem, but because I am not, I don't get a second chance. Thanks, Auto-Owners, for nothing. They push the whole diversity & inclusion issues, & it just gets to be too much. Most of my co-workers didn't waste their time on the lousy diversity & inclusion videos we were supposed to watch. What a joke.

Pros

Amazing people. Amazing atmosphere. Amazing milieu. I love my internship and i am getting paid pretty well for an intern.

Cons

I am in claims so it is pretty redundant in tasks even though no claim is the same.

Pros

There is a lot left to be desired, the primary "Pro" would be co- workers

Cons

In my opinion, AO is short sighted and concerned only for the higher ups. Departments are forced to be silo-ed and have built a culture that even walking into a another area of the same floor makes you feel out of place. Decisions are made from a top down perspective, meaning they are worried about their bottom dollar instead of what is in the best interest of everyone. The front line workers receive a low salary and a cap on profit sharing of 15% while managers get 2x that amount, with the higher you climb the bigger the bonus. Employees are seen as disposable and are treated as such.
