Pros
I really appreciate the opportunity to work at Automation Hero for 4 main reasons: 1. Exciting technology - I do think the future of work is going to change with AI, and I like that we are at the forefront of making an impact. 2. Colleagues - I've never worked with so many smart, ambitious, hard working people. 3. Remote work - I hate commuting and am so glad I have flexibility over where I live and where I work. 4. Automation Hero has proven to me again and again, we are a family first company and there's no tolerance for discrimination. I feel like my happiness here is a result of having worked hard for Automation Hero and built trust with my superiors by being accountable for my goals, owning up to my mistakes and learning from them, and taking on new challenges head first.
Cons
The 5 star rating is true for me, but I know it's not everyone's experience, and I can't recommend Automation Hero as an employer for everyone. It takes guts of steel, an appetite for change and tremendous personal accountability to work for a start up - especially at this period of time in the macroeconomic environment where start ups are not just swimming in free cash and need to be very disciplined. I've worked in places that frankly have been more comfortable and provided me with specialized external training opportunities, clear (but slow) promotional paths etc. and I understand why this is preferable for some. For me, in-the-job learning in a fast paced environment with similarly minded colleagues around the world is my preference and the other benefits mentioned above outweigh the harder days. I suggest anyone who is considering joining Automation Hero to self-assess honestly what works for them.
