      Pros

      It all starts with the people I work with; they are like a 2nd family. Everyone is willing to help and works together to ensure the communities are successful. With the right work ethic and being flexible, you have plenty of opportunities to advance or even transfer to different departments. Great benefits, PTO, holiday schedules, and discounted stock in the company. Overall, I truly enjoy working for AvalonBay and with all my co-workers.

      Cons

      Fairly recent change in housing benefits for on-site associates that's subpar to our competitors.

      Pros

      Company culture makes you really appreciate where you work. I definitely agree that is the "people" at AVB that make it great.

      Cons

      Nothing really... sometimes it is a bit of a struggle to wear so many hats.
