Pros

Fully remote role Acknowledgement and celebration of postive feedback from clients

Cons

I was initially excited to work for AVB as their communities have great reviews from residents in my area. I felt my high-level of work would be a great fit as I receive consistent positive feedback from clients. This became the case as well in my role with AVB, in which I graduated at the top of my class and received the highest amount of positive reviews from clients. All that said, there were red flags from the start that influenced my decision to quit. At the time of my hiring, important technical requirements and responsibilities of the role were not disclosed to me, which resulted in undue stress and confusion. Instead of AVB admitting they had not been clear in their communication they attempted to gaslight me which did not work as everything was documented. I made repeated requests for a basic work accommodation which was not approved until the day I decided to quit. I was reprimanded about attendance despite informing my manager I have regular doctors' visits that I must attend for ongoing treatment. I was never late, and never took off work for funsies. This didn't seem to matter to my supervisor. I observed a lack of integrity, which left me with a diminished sense of trust in the company and its leadership. AVB was very quick to use the "We're a family' schpiel, but they fired a single mother breast-cancer survivor because her child-care fell through in the middle of training. I don't know of any "family" that would do that. Management also mentioned several times that no one has anything negative to say about AVB, which is untrue. A simple search of Glass Door reviews proves otherwise. It always irked me when they would tell this flat out lie. What others have spoken on about the docking of points is true. You can do everything right and one little thing they deem as being missed means you lose all the points. This includes losing points for things you were not trained on. I asked directly if this would be the case and was told yes. The trainers constantly swear points don’t matter and lead you into a false sense of security. Every point matters.

Nothing really... sometimes it is a bit of a struggle to wear so many hats.
