Pros
The CNAs are in unions so they make fair wages, the nurses at my location did what they could to accommodate department preferences.
Cons
The administration gave residents who complained special treatment and it was often at the expense of other residents who were more agreeable. They refused to staff anything above the minimum, state required, ratio of care givers to residents. I absolutely get that it's a business and not a charity but the competent CNAs really suffered and had unrealistic workloads, and the residents who were more pleasant to work with or not capable of advocating for themselves often received a lower standard of care that they deserved because the care givers were spread too thin.
