Pros
-small, but close community where staff knows each other and cares about others. Avamere cares about their employees and management often asks me where I’m heading in my future, and how they can assist me because they want to see me grow with Avamere. -a good floor staff that continues to grow and get stronger with our mentor program -Having a union is great to have and know that they have your back if you ever need it, like fighting for higher and better wages
Cons
There are cons for every place and if you’re looking you will always find one. Avamere in Coos Bay was a one star building when I started and is making its way towards a five star building in the future. The only thing I would change is to have consistent management in their roles as there has been a lot of turnover recently.
