Pros

Distrustful management are ignorant, angry ogres - enjoy snickering at them with other coworkers behind their backs. You may qualify for free mental health assistance after working here. Employees that remain are scared mice. Pet them gently, but watch your back. Some are rats in disguise.

Cons

Toxic work environment. Greedy owner that pays half of contract funds to herself, then understaffs projects and underpays the employees. This is the type of work environment you hear about on the evening news after a disgruntled employee has had enough.

Pros

The company is growing a lot. New contracts have necessitated increasing the staff. This has opened opportunities for the existing staff. Avatar likes to promote from within and has done so consistently. Avatar has also paid for the training of employees in fields that support their duties. It is a great work environment.

Cons

There are very tight deadlines that must be met for our military customers which can be strenuous. Also critical KPIs are set which the company expects to be met, or a reasonable reason why not and what will be done to fix it.

Work From Home Flexible Work Hours (As long as targets are met) Salary was competitive Great Design and Development Team (or whats left)

Cons

The largest issue for Avatar is the lack of ability to gain new contracts and have a pipeline of future contracts. During my time at Avatar, I was laid off twice due to "lack of work."
