Pros
Company does emphasize healthy work/life balance. Most people went home by 5pm. Also a great place to work if you're mormon since most of the senior staff are mormon.
Cons
Management of the software department was atrocious across the board. Lots of technical debt piled up and wasn't paid off and problems were only getting worse. Too much focus on building the wrong thing and not focusing on core business product. Management has decided that the problem is the developers and has micromanaged some of their best out the door. Also a company-wide focus on doing things as cheaply as possible. Not efficiently, not pragmatically, but just as dirt-cheap as possible. Salaries, experience of workers, office equipment, quality of code. Everything was done as fast and cheaply as possible. This is a poor long-term solution because by not investing in the business and people that work there, they're not building a company where people would want to work.
